Get Jolly For Cooperation In Salt And Sacrifice Multiplayer Reveal

The rudeboys at Ska Studios released a new video for their upcoming Salt and Sanctuary sequel today. Presented during the Future Games Show is a deeper dive into the mechanics of Salt and Sacrifice. Specifically, the multiplayer modes.

Salt and Sacrifice is the follow-up to Ska’s popular 2D Soulslike game. So it makes sense that there would be some Soulslike multiplayer modes as well. Much like the covenants in Dark Souls, the game will have various factions which you can join. Some have you collecting items from slain enemies, or helping others to take town invaders. All of them involve donating to your faction in order to gain rewards. If you’re going to want the best rewards, then you better be ready to get your hands dirty and fight some other players for them.

Salt and Sacrifice

The story of Salt and Sacrifice is still mostly shrouded in mystery. You play as an inquisitor, a person on the hunt for corrupted mages throughout the world. There’s, uh, not much more to it than that thus far. But then, I suppose there doesn’t need to be.

The new trailer gives another look at the game, which was announced back during the Summers Game Fest. It’s easily one of the more hotly anticipated titles, both of that show and for us here at Dread XP. While the game doesn’t currently have a release date, we do know that it’s set to launch sometime in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5.
