Description
SPOOKWARE is a microgame-a-thon action RPG set in the afterlife. Play as the skelebros, Lefti Midi and Righti. An adorable ensemble of boney friends addicted to horror movies.
As they realise they’ve wasted their life watching movies, they decide to go on a grand road trip. A challenging road lies ahead, with hundreds of hand-crafted microgames. From macabre rhythm games, to spooky detective work, the adventure brings loads of second-to-second surprises.
Meet all sorts of zany dead folk, start a high school band, sell tons of pizza and maybe even figure out why you’re dead anyways.
History
BEESWAX Games was founded in 2021 to create a full retail version of SPOOKWARE. Adam Pype has been working on a bunch of games before this, including No Players Online with Viktor Kraus. The original SPOOKWARE was made for the Two-Minute Game Jam, and featured just 10 microgames.
After that, we partnered with DreadXP to bring a newer, more robust version of SPOOKWARE to the DreadX collection 3. Seeing growing success with each new version, we once again partnered with DreadXP to bring a full episodic version of SPOOKWARE to life. Expanding the scope meant expanding the team, and when Tibau VDB joined, BEESWAX Games was born.
