Curse of the Dead Gods Content Wriggles into Dead Cells

Curse of the Dead Gods has leaked into Dead Cells. Both games, popular roguelikes in their own rights, have now crossed over with cameos and content. This past spring, Curse of the Dead Gods gained the “Curse of the Dead Cells” update, which brought Dead Cells into the game’s world. With yesterday’s update, Dead Cells has now reciprocated the crossover.

In celebration, both games will be on sale on Steam. They’re both 40% off as a standalone product, but you can snag a special bundle with Curse of the Dead Gods, Dead Cells, Guacamelee! 2, and Skul: The Hero Slayer for a hefty 60% off. There’s another bundle featuring other Focus products, too. Complete the trinity with Shady Part of Me and Aeon Must Die! for another discount.

Curse, available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, is an action roguelike. Wielding a variety of weapons, including light and fire, will be the key to your survival. The player explores a dark temple, slowly falling prey to corruption and curses that both weaken and empower them. It received various items and a Curse from Dead Cells in the crossover earlier this year.

Curse of the Dead Gods Dead Cells Crossover Update
Curse of the Dead Gods introduced various weapons back in April for the protagonist of Dead Cells.

Dead Cells, also an action roguelike, received a variety of crossovers yesterday with its update. It gained weapons, skills, and skins from Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Hyper Light Drifter, Guacamelee!, Skul: The Hero Slayer, and Curse of the Dead Gods. All of the content is free, though you will need to discover and complete some challenges in order to get the goods. All of it’s in the patch notes if you’re curious. Dead Cells is available on the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Origin, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
