Serious Sam 4, out now, has come to current-generation consoles. Publisher Devolver Digital made the announcement earlier today, letting players grab the game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Mental’s forces have spread throughout the world, putting humanity under siege. Civilization is beaten and broken, but they continue to ransack the planet. All that’s left resisting the invasion is the Earth Defense Force, led by Sam “Serious” Stone and his cadre of well-armed commandos. See some of our early impressions of Serious Sam 4 here.

Released on Steam in late September last year, Serious Sam 4 features hordes of invading aliens and a massive arsenal of weaponry. With four-player online co-op, one can tackle both primary missions for the main story and side quests with modded difficulties. Choose from a double-barreled shotgun, a minigun, a chainsaw launcher, a cannon, and much more. Upgrade them for even more devastation and justice for humanity. The new Legion System allows for war zones with thousands of enemy combatants, so there’s no shortage of carnage to inflict on the alien invaders.
