Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Finally Lets You Just Shoot Superman
Rocksteady has been one of those developers that a lot of people have been speculating what exactly they’ve been up to for some time now. We have that answer. Today at the DC Fan Dome they announced Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
While the trailer is pure CGI, it does give us a pretty good idea of what to expect. The trailer focuses on four members of the Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. They’re lounging around in a world that appears to have been attacked by Brainiac. While the denizens of Metropolis appear to be nothing more than mindless zombies, they do serve as fun cannon-fodder to show off each character’s abilities.
The trailer ends with Amanda Waller revealing that they need to kill Alpha Target. It’s then that we learn who Alpha Target is: none other than Superman himself. Only there’s something horribly wrong with this version of Superman, who proceeds to pluck a pilot from his helicopter and uses heat vision to melt the guy. Is he possessed by Brainiac? Is it actually a new Superman? Only time will tell, but it certainly seems like it may be worth keeping an eye on.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to come out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X some time in 2022.
