Ultra-Indie Daily Dose: Dawn Of Dark Blood Is WW1 Survival Horror Fun

Hello, you glorious gluttons for all things indie horror! Are you just starving for the newest of the new, the most unknownest of the unknown? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to the Ultra-Indie Daily Dose! In this series, we’re going to pick a new game every day from an indie horror creator you’ve probably never heard of. No million-dollar budgets or factory productions. This is the space for the little guy with not but a developer toolkit and a dream. So if you’re down to roll the dice on something different, then stick around and check it out!

Welcome back for another Daily Dose! I try to avoid paid games for this column, but this title by developer Dark Day Afternoon is more than worth the $2. Previously appearing for their title of the same name, today’s game is Dawn of Dark Blood. Inspired by classic survival horror, this game is perfect for fans of Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

Judging by the tweed hat and gas mask, Dawn of Dark Blood has you playing a young lad during what I’m pretty sure is WW1 England. Sent for by his mother, he arrives at the spooky mansion she works in, only to find the place abandoned. Being a classic horror inspired game, you can probably guess that foul things have been going on in this manor. The question is, will you be able to survive?
