Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC Drops Teaser

Brace for wall chicken and haunted armor-induced shenanigans, the Return to Castlevania DLC for Dead Cells dropped a teaser trailer earlier this week. The devs insist that it will come dreadfully soon for PC and console players, and you can Wishlist Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania right now on Steam. And there’s a short fun trailer from Motion Twin.

The Castlevania crossover marks the biggest DLC for Dead Cells to date, a massive collaboration between Motion Twin and Evil Empire. The DLC includes two new biomes, 14 iconic weapons such as the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe, and Holy Water, and plenty of undead, dead, and mostly-dead enemies and monsters to slay. The weapons have received little tweaks to work with the fast-paced and frantic combat of Dead Cells, but you’ll recognize them in an instant.

The iconic boomerang cross and backflipping Harpies return in the biggest Dead Cells DLC to date.

The DLC includes combat with Dracula and even Death himself. Richter Belmont approaches The Beheaded after the appearance of a familiar castle. While the duty to destroy evil is fine and all, Dracula’s vast riches are what ultimately tempt The Beheaded into helping out. Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania also boasts 51 original Castlevania tracks and 12 remixes to fit the style of Dead Cells. It’s a very ambitious throwback, and you can expect to see it launch soon in Q1 2023.
