Ultra-Indie Daily Dose: Llorona Brings The Classic Latin Legend To Life

I hope you’re ready for an amazing Daily Dose today. Generally, I’m not too keen on the haunted house genre. Not that it isn’t enjoyable, but whenever I play, I remember it basically boils down to an otherworldly entity playing pranks on you. It takes quite a bit for a haunted house game to pique my interest, and Llorona by GameDevBoi interested me and exceeded all my expectations.

Llorona (Yo-ro-na for all you gringos) takes place somewhere in Mexico. Set around the time of the Mexican Revolution, you play as a proud new owner of a mansion won while playing a suspiciously easy hand of poker. Escorted to the property by the local priest, you are informed that the house has had several exorcisms performed, all to no avail. But since this is a horror game, you disregard all that and set out to the house in the middle of the night.

You can play Llorona for yourself on itch.io by clicking here.
