The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters Set To Leave Early Access January 28th
Well, that was fast. It was just back in November that I was covering the release of The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters into Steam Early Access. Geeze, Devespresso Games, don’t you know how Early Access works? You’re supposed to release a barely finished prototype, update it for a month, let it languish for 3 years without any feedback, and then announce that the game is finally done and dump it. Amateurs, actually releasing their game in a timely manner.
Going against established gaming tradition, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is going into full release just three months after it dropped onto early access. Also bucking the trend, everyone also apparently loves it. It’s sitting at a 98% positive approval rating at the moment. Is this because the game is a real improvement over The Coma, showing the studio’s growth? Or is it because the game has seen frequent updates and developer communication? Or is it because it’s genuinely scary? Gosh, or could it be all three? The world may never know.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is releasing on January 28th. Players will have to restart their save files, as a whole new slew of plot lines and surprises not available in the original. More from the Official Press Release:
Headup and Devespresso Games are pleased to announce that ‘The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters’, an atmospheric, story-driven Korean survival horror game, will officially launch into “full release” on January 28.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters on Steam continues the dark and sinister adventure from The Coma: Recut with players journeying beyond the deserted Sehwa High School and into the surrounding district. Featuring vibrant, hand-illustrated visuals by Minho Kim combined with a nightmarish story of relentless pursuit by T.L. Riven, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters precariously balances an urgency of exploration and the need for survival.
Since its Early Access lauch which began in late November, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters has ranked within the top 10 of Steam Gamer Reviews for Q4 2019 with 98% of reviewers posting positive reviews and 40% of the reviewers posting ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews. Devespresso has improved the game with several major updates during Early Access, with the final major update arriving at release. The game’s save data will be reset at release, and the game will offer new surprises and plots that were not available during Early Access.
As announced in November, Early Access buyers will receive a free Survival Guide/Artbook and a copy of the eerie Original Soundtrack at release. The details of the full game price and several special bundles will be disclosed closer to release.
You can check out The Coma 2: Viscious Sisters now on Steam by clicking this link. Purchasing the Early Access version will net you a free artbook and soundtrack. Just remember, saves will not transfer over once the game goes into full release. At just $11.99, this one’s a steal.
