Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters Reveals Advanced Classes

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters revealed its advanced classes today. Frontier Foundry and Complex Games showed off four of the paths for the Gray Knights earlier today.

Nurgle’s greatest gift to the galaxy is the Bloom, a condition festering throughout the Tyrtaeus sector. Since his “gifts” include plague, misery, and suffering, Strike Force Xiphos needs Gray Knight specialists. These specialists have gone through specialist training at the Citadel of Titan to sharpen their minds and bodies. With psychic abilities, a hail of bullets, and a whirling dervish of death, the Gray Knights will need all the help they can get taking on some of the most dangerous forms of Chaos in the Materium.

While initially there will only be four classes, composed of the Justicar, Interceptor, Purgator, and Apothecary, later the player can access four additional advanced classes. They’ll need the favor of the Steward of the Armory, first.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters Terrain
The mutated overgrowth will provide cover and obstacles in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters.

The Paladin is clad in Terminator Armour, and can pulverize Nurgle’s forces with potent combat abilities. The Chaplain seems geared for a support role with prayers, litanies, and hymns to buff allies and remove Nurgle’s curses. The Librarian is an experienced psyker, utilizing their psychic powers to banish and destroy Daemons. The Purifier is a debuffing supporter that burns nearby enemies while removing their mutations and diseases.

Once you unlock these advanced classes, they will make their way into the unit rotation. Grab them via requisition or obtain them after a mission. Each class in Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters has unique upgrades with three dozen unlockable active and passive abilities. Limited skill points means you’ll have to think carefully about each of your units.

You can check out the trailer on the official YouTube channel. They’ve uploaded numerous other videos showcasing the starting classes, too, if you want to get a look at what you have available. If you want to Wishlist it on Steam, it expects a Chaos Gate release sometime later this year.
