New Vampire: The Masqeurade – Bloodlines 2 Video Recaps PDXCON Presentation

If you’re like me, you didn’t go to PDXCON 2019. Not because Paradox Interactive games aren’t great. I fucking love myself some CKII. No, I didn’t go because the convention is in Berlin. Which last time I checked, is not walking distance from my apartment in LA. It seems like everyone has their own Con now, and it’s almost impossible to keep up with all of them. Still, I was bummed that Paradox incorrectly chose to not host their Con in my living room, as I really wanted to see more of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

Luckily, Paradox has deigned us filthy Americans worthy of their treasured knowledge. Well, worthy of the bullet points at least. Today, Paradox uploaded a video recapping the PDXCON 2019 Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 presentations. It’s a pretty cool watch, detailing a lot of their thought process and design philosophy. It gets really deep, explaining some rather… interesting facts about the world of Bloodlines 2. If you ever wanted a peek into what an E3 presentation is like, this is pretty close. The whole video is linked above, so give it a watch to learn all about the game.

But wait, there’s more! Accompanying the recap video is a Dev Diary by developer Hardsuit Lab’s CEO, Andy Kipling. In it, he details his experience at PDXCON. Andy goes over his anxiety before the show, his experience meeting the fans, and settling into the Con routine. It’s cool to see something focusing on the face behind the company. So often we view developers and publishers as a singular entity, a faceless emotionless figurine for us to hang all our praise and criticism on. So it’s cool to see the man behind the curtain, and hear about what the experience meant to him.

Get it? Because we’re seeing the human side of a faceless object? God i’m fucking smart.

So how about you folks? What was your favorite part of the presentation? Do Vampires wear socks? Let me know in the comments!
