SHMUP Your Way Through Hell in Void Gore

Most games that bring you to Hell are of the horror type. Void Gore seeks to change this by being a pure classic SHMUP.

Indeed, Void Gore has you shooting your way through Hell. You play as the pilot of a little ship in what is claimed to be a simulation. Is that actually accurate? Well, you’ll have to play the game to find out. But while you’re playing the game, you’ll do battle with waves of demonic enemies. Flying eyeballs, masses of laser-shooting guts, giant skeletons, and more is the order of the day here. Should you survive, you may even get rewarded with a bit of cash.

It’s here where Void Gore breaks away from the SHMUP norms a bit, having a small roguelite angel to it. Should you fall while traversing Hell, you start from the beginning. However, you start with the money that you made, allowing you to buy upgrades to get you further into Hell. You’ll need these upgrades to traverse all 10 circles of Hell so you can fight Satan. Or I assume Satan anyway, I can’t imagine anyone else ruling Hell.

When you’re ready to blast Hell apart, Void Gore will be launching on February 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
