Still Afraid of Maid of Sker? Just Shoot Your Way Through!
I get it, some horror games are just terrifying. Maid of Sker is one of them. Good news, the game has gotten some firearms to even the odds.
In a new, and free, DLC made for Maid of Sker, you’ll be able to get your hands on some firearms and fight back. This new mode will add in a few arcade challenges, which play more like classic first-person shooters. The update adds four challenges, which range from a melee weapon only run, to levels being so dark that you need light to see. Better yet, you don’t need to wait long, as this update is available on PC right now. Console users will get it soon, and the PlayStation version of the game’s update will include DualSense support as well.
If you haven’t played the original game, you can read our review of Maid of Sker over here. As you may have guessed, the original game is absolutely nothing like this. Instead, it’s a stealth horror game where you need to sneak around to avoid blind enemies. You don’t get any guns, but you do get an orb that can play a loud noise that confuses and stuns any enemies that may have gotten a little too close to you. It’s certainly a very different experience, but was also one of my favorite horror games of this year.
Maid of Sker is available right now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You can grab the game, and this new update, on Steam right now.
